Recently in 2079 Mangsir 04, Parliament and Provincial Election of Nepal 2079 has been successfully conducted with some issues. In this election, Nepali Congress has become the largest party with 89 seats, CPN (UML) second largest with 78 seats (elected and proportionate) in House of Representative, while CPN (UML) has won the popular votes with 2,845,641 (27.31%) and Nepali Congress got 2,715,225 votes (26.06%).
